Minimum Requirements for Membership

1. At least 18 years of age
2. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
3. Valid Ohio Drivers License
4. Residency Requirement (As approved by the Chief)

Application Process

1. Complete application with notarized background check release form
2. Background check performed
3. Interview with Fire Chief
4. General knowledge test
5. Physical performance test
6. Interview with department officers
7. Acceptance as Probationary Member
8. Orientation session and equipment issue
9. Medical examination and immunization - (paid for by department)
10. Complete required training - (paid for by department)
11. Six month evaluation
12. Voted on by the active membership at the end of the year
